Enseñanza y educación : la contribución de Herbart a su distinción y a sus relaciones

Abstract

Este artículo se enfoca en las diferencias establecidas por Johann Friedrich Herbart entre enseñanza o instrucción (alemán Unterricht) y educación (alemán Erziehung). Considera en base a esta distinción las relaciones que se dan entre ellas, en el contexto de los desarrollos kantianos en pedagogía. Se incluye también una discusión acerca del lugar que la teoría de Herbart ocupa en la investigación posterior en teoría de la enseñanza

This article focuses in the differences established by Johann Friedrich Herbart between teaching or instruction (German Unterricht), and education (German Erziehung). Based on this distinction Herbart considers the relationships that take place between them, in the context of Kantian developments in pedagogy. This paper also discusses the place Herbart’s theory has in subsequent research in the theory of teaching.
