De viajes y movimientos antropológicos. Análisis reflexivo sobre etnografía y trabajo de campo

Abstract

En este artículo proponemos contribuir con los debates sobre la etnografía, el trabajo de campo y la noción de viaje como temáticas relacionadas con la antropología. A partir del análisis reflexivo de dos trabajos de investigación, nos preguntamos sobre la construcción del rol del investigador y las relaciones establecidas con los nativos, y planteamos que ambos trabajos de campo pueden ser considerados como un viaje al menos en dos sentidos. Por un lado, por los desplazamientos físicos concretos que realizaron las investigadoras para “llegar hasta los nativos”; por el otro, por los movimientos internos que el trabajo de campo supone para transformar los datos extraídos de situaciones sociales en conocimiento científico.

In this paper we propose to contribute to the discussions on ethnography, field work and the idea of the travel as topics related to anthropology. From the reflective analysis of two research works, we ask ourselves about the construction of the researcher's role and the relationships established with the natives. Also we reflect on the way in which both field works can be considered as a trip in at least two directions. On the one hand, the movements that the researchers made to “reach the natives”; on the other, the internal movements that field work supposes to the anthropologist to transform data extracted from social situations into scientific knowledge.
