Literatura infantil y juvenil uruguaya : producción editorial entre 2010 y 2020

Abstract

Esta investigación analiza la producción editorial de literatura infantil y juvenil uruguaya, centrándose en las obras publicadas entre 2010 y 2020 por las editoriales Santillana Ediciones, Editorial Planeta, Penguin Random House, Criatura Editora, Fin de Siglo, Ediciones de la Banda Oriental, Más Pimienta y Topito Ediciones. El objetivo principal de la investigación fue determinar qué se ha publicado en materia de literatura infantil y juvenil en Uruguay y quiénes fueron los actores involucrados en su producción, así como generar una herramienta de difusión para quienes estén interesados en conocer la oferta de literatura infantil y juvenil nacional. Para llevar a cabo este estudio, se aplicó el enfoque metodológico cuantitativo-cualitativo, con el propósito de estimar cifras y profundizar en el contexto de producción. Las principales fuentes de información incluyeron los datos proporcionados por las editoriales, así como los registros de la Biblioteca Nacional y la Agencia ISBN Uruguay. Como resultado, se identificó que desde 2010 hasta la fecha, 81 agentes editores han publicado al menos un título de LIJ uruguaya; que las ocho editoriales estudiadas publicaron un total de 533 títulos de literatura recreativa e informativa, y que en estos 533 títulos participaron 171 autores uruguayos, entre los cuales hay 128 escritores y 59 ilustradores.

This research analyzes the editorial production of Uruguayan children's and young adult literature, focusing on works published between 2010 and 2020 by the publishers Santillana Ediciones, Editorial Planeta, Penguin Random House, Criatura Editora, Fin de Siglo, Ediciones de la Banda Oriental, Más Pimienta and Topito Ediciones. The main objective of the research was to determine what has been published in the field of children's and young adult literature in Uruguay and who were the actors involved in its production, as well as to generate a dissemination tool for those interested in knowing the national children's and young adult literature offer. To carry out this study, the qualitative-quantitative methodological approach, with the purpose of estimating figures and delving into the production context. The main sources of information included the data provided by the publishers, as well as the records of the National Library and the ISBN Agency of Uruguay. As a result, it was identified that, from 2010 to date, 81 publishing agents have published at least one Uruguayan children's literature title; that the eight publishers studied published a total of 533 titles of recreational and informative literature; and that 171 Uruguayan authors participated in these 533 titles, among which there are 128 writers and 59 illustrators.
