Racing e Independiente: rivalidad nacional desde el Conurbano Sur

Abstract

En este artículo partimos de la descripción del proceso de fundación sistemática de las instituciones futbolísticas de principios del siglo XX para presentar luego, en dicho marco, datos históricos relevantes de los primeros años del Club Atlético Independiente y Racing Club. Avellaneda, el distrito donde estos se encuentran, es central en este recorrido porque los alberga de manera singular y porque funciona como un espacio de disputa en el imaginario de los hinchas.En elproceso de construcción de las identidades futbolísticas argentinas, determinados rasgos funcionan como puntos de referencia para construir un “nosotros” diferente y distante de un “ellos” conotras características. En este dilemaentra a jugar la relación entre las identidades futbolísticas y las identidades de la política partidaria nacional.

In this article we start from the description of the systematic founding process of the soccer institutions of the early twentieth century to later present, within this framework, relevant historical data from the first years of the Independent Athletic Club andRacing Club. Avellaneda, the district where they are, is central in this route because it houses them in a unique way and because it functions as a space for dispute in the fans' imaginary. In the process of construction of Argentine soccer identities, certain features function as reference points to build a different and distant “we” from a “they” with other characteristics. The relationship between soccer identities and the identities of national party politics comes into play in this dilemma.
