Las prácticas educativas entre la reproducción y la transformación social

Abstract

La siguiente tesis tuvo como objetivo comprender las prácticas educativas de jóvenes y adultos como procesos de producción y/o reproducción social, rescatando el significado que los propios agentes educativos le dan a su hacer allí. Para llevarla a cabo se eligió un espacio de educación de jóvenes y adultos , cogestionado por el MIDES y la ANEP. Se entiende que esto le aporta al espacio elementos que pueden considerarse novedosos y diferentes a la educación formal tradicional, pudiendo hacer de esta una práctica alternativa. En este sentido, como objetivos específicos se apuntó a la caracterización de esta práctica educativa con jóvenes y adultos , así como a visualizar las concepciones que circulan sobre el sujeto de la educación adulto. Se buscó, además, identificar el significado que para los educadores tiene este espacio y su práctica profesional. Por último, se planteó visibilizar los elementos alternativos de esta práctica educativa. En concordancia con estos objetivos, se desarrolló una investigación cualitativa que usa un estudio instrumental de casos donde la información fue recabada a través de las técnicas de observación y de entrevistas en profundidad a los agentes de la educación. Como aportes principales este estudio logra mostrar una propuesta educativa con elementos alternativos, que resulta muchas veces ignorada políticamente y que se encuentra sostenida por el compromiso ético político de los trabajadores. Los educadores le otorgan un sentido militante y transformador a sus prácticas, contemplando al sujeto de la educación adulto, aunque por momentos hay tensiones y dificultades en el hacer cotidiano. Se entiende que estamos frente a una propuesta compleja y heterogénea, que reproduce y al mismo tiempo genera formas nuevas de estar en lo educativo. Por ello, es necesario pensarla como una educación rizomática.

This work seeks to understand the educational practices of young people and adults as processes of production and/or social reproduction, rescuing the meaning that the educati onal agents themselves give to their work there. To fulfill this thesis work, a space for youth and adult education comanaged by MIDES and ANEP was chosen. It is understood that this institution provides the space with elements that can be considered innovative and quite different from traditional formal education, making it an alternative practice. In this sense, the specific objectives were to characterise this educational practice for young people and adults as well as to visualise the conceptions that circulate about the subject of adult education. I have also identified the meaning of this space and its educational practice for educators as well. Finally, the aim was to make the alternative elements of this educational practice visible. Considering this objective qualitative research was carried out using an instrumental case study in which information was gathered through observation techniques and in depth interviews with educational agents. The main contributions of this work were to make visible an educational proposal with alternative elements, which is often politically invisible and is supported by the ethical and political commitment of those working there. The educators give a militant and transforming sense to their practices, considering the subject of adult education Nevertheless, tensions and difficulties are visualized in the daily work at times. It is understood that we are facing a complex, heterogeneous proposal that reproduces and at the same time generates new forms of being in educat ion, which is why it is necessary to think of it as a rhizomatic education.
