Capital, barbarie y América Latina

Abstract

Este artículo trata de la devastación social en curso en América Latina. El análisis se sustenta en un abordaje histórico-crítico sobre la realidad del cono centro-sur del continente americano y sus particularidades en la economía capitalista mundial. El objetivo del texto es puntualizar y analizar rasgos que han estructurado la realidad latinoamericana golpeándola fuertemente en los últimos diez años. A partir de ello y al final, el artículo plantea algunos aspectos importantes para el debate con el trabajo social y su fracción más crítica en América Latina.

This article deals with the ongoing social devastation in Latin America. The analysis is based on a historical-critical approach to the reality of the south-central cone of the American continent and its particularities in the world capitalist economy. The objective of the text is to specify and analyze features that have structured the Latin American reality, hitting it hard in the last ten years. Starting from this and at the end, the article raises some important aspects for the debate with social work and its most critical fraction in Latin America.
