| Resumen: | Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the most common causes of cancer deaths globally1. GC represents a clinically and biologically heterogeneous group of malignancies with an incidence varying substantially across different world regions and among various ethnic groups1,2. Recent studies indicated an up to 20-fold variation in risk between low-risk populations (particularly in North America and some African regions) and high-risk areas (which include Eastern Asia, Eastern Europe as well as Central and South America)2,3. |
