| Resumen: | This paper introduces a novel method for coupling the Boundary Element Method (BEM) and the Finite Element Method (FEM) to solve the wave equation. The proposed approach is based on two key components: 1) energetic space-time BEM and FEM formulations and 2) Nitsche's method for the weak enforcement of transmission conditions. Stability analysis for the weak coupled problem and its discrete counterpart is performed through energy arguments. Several numerical results are presented and discussed, showing the effectiveness of the proposed technique. |
