Concepción de la naturaleza en territorios del noreste del Uruguay: Intercambios de vivencias de productoras rurales

Abstract

El texto que aquí se plantea, intenta comprender cuales son las concepciones de naturaleza de un grupo de mujeres rurales en la frontera noreste del Uruguay, en relación con la producción ganadera extensiva de base conservacionista. Para ello, se elaboró un diseño e implementación metodológica basada en un abordaje cualitativo, exploratorio y descriptivo, en el marco de un curso de enseñanza de grado. Se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas, relevamiento geográfico de los territorios y una sistematización basada en diversos tópicos analíticos. Se destaca que si bien los casos de estudio analizados, poseen características socioproductivas similares, en un contexto territorial dominado por el agronegocio, su historia de vida y vínculo con la tierra, permiten identificar que se posicionan de manera diferencial en su relación y concepción con la naturaleza, tanto a nivel filosófico como a nivel ético. En definitiva, consideramos que el presente texto aporta elementos teóricos-metodológicos para la comprensión sobre las concepciones y las prácticas que realizan un grupo de mujeres sobre la naturaleza en un contexto de tendencia al deterioro de nuestros bienes comunes.

The text presented here is an attempt to understand the nature conceptions of a rural women group from the northeastern border of Uruguay, regarding conservationbased extensive livestock farming production. To achieve this, a methodological design and implementation were developed based on a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive approach within the framework of a degree teaching course. Semistructured interviews were carried out, as well as a geographic survey of their territories, and a systematization based on various analytical topics. It highlights that although the analyzed case studies share similar socio-productive features within a territorial context dominated by agrobusiness, their life stories and connection to the land allow for the identification of distinctive positions in their relationship and conception of nature, both philosophically and ethically. In conclusion, we consider that this text contributes with theoretical and methodological elements to the understanding of the conceptions and practices carried out by a group of women regarding nature within a context of a trend towards the deterioration of our common goods.
