Conocimiento en Salud Sexual y Reproductiva con el que cuentan las/los adolescentes de 12 a 18 años pertenecientes al centro educativo “Unidos” de INAU ubicado en el departamento de Montevideo desde el 15 de marzo al 15 de septiembre de 2023

Abstract

El siguiente protocolo de investigación es presentado como requisito para la obtención del título universitario de Obstetra Partera/o de la Universidad de la República, Uruguay. En este Trabajo Final de Grado se propuso el abordaje sobre salud sexual y reproductiva de los/as adolescentes en el centro educativo “Unidos” dentro del Departamento de Montevideo, Uruguay. Este es un centro educativo mixto que trabaja mediante un convenio con INAU, quien brinda apoyo a los/as adolescentes, tanto educativo como psicosocial. El objetivo general de este trabajo es indagar acerca del conocimiento en salud sexual y reproductiva con el que cuentan los/as adolescentes de dicho centro. Como objetivos específicos nos planteamos identificar el conocimiento de los y las adolescentes sobre métodos anticonceptivos, infecciones de transmisión sexual y cuáles son las necesidades en Salud Sexual y Reproductiva que manifiestan los/as adolescentes que concurren al centro “Unidos” de INAU. Para poder obtener la información y llegar a los objetivos planteados anteriormente se utilizará una metodología cualitativa, prospectiva, descriptiva de tipo longitudinal. Se realizará en base a esta metodología a los efectos de revelar y analizar la perspectiva de los/as adolescentes sobre la información con la que cuentan. Dicha metodología se justifica dado que en el transcurso de nuestra formación como futuras Obstetras Parteras/os se hizo notorio el déficit en cuanto al conocimiento en salud sexual y reproductiva en la población que hoy forma parte de nuestro objetivo. Por medio de este trabajo, apostamos a que pueda generar reflexiones individuales y colectivas y sirva como disparador de futuras investigaciones y propuestas para trabajar con la comunidad. La recolección de datos se llevará a cabo por medio de una encuesta de preguntas mixtas a 50 adolescentes entre 12 y 18 años, mujeres y varones que concurran al centro educativo “Unidos”. Dicha investigación se realizará en un período de tiempo de seis meses correspondiendo desde el 15 de marzo de 2023 al 15 de septiembre del mismo año. Se tomará en cuenta dicho período ya que los/as adolescentes concurrirán a este centro educativo en conjunto con un centro educativo formal, ya sea liceo o UTU, por lo que buscaremos identificar qué conocimientos e información pudieron adquirir durante este tiempo por parte de ambas instituciones. La finalidad de la recolección de datos es brindar herramientas con el propósito de fortalecer los conocimientos adquiridos. Así mismo, profundizar en la temática, generando un espacio confortable en el que pueda surgir un diálogo de manera bidireccional, realizando intercambio de información así como también despejar dudas en relación al tema a investigar en el presente trabajo.

The following research protocol is presented as a requirement to obtain the university degree of Obstetrician Midwife from the University of the Republic, Uruguay. In this Final Degree Project, the approach to sexual and reproductive health of adolescents in the "Unidos" educational center in the Department of Montevideo, Uruguay was proposed. This is a mixed educational center that works through an agreement with INAU, which provides support to adolescents, both educational and psychosocial. The general objective of this work is to inquire about the knowledge in sexual and reproductive health that the adolescents of said center have. As specific objectives we set out to identify the knowledge of adolescents about contraceptive methods, sexually transmitted infections and what are the needs in Sexual and Reproductive Health manifested by adolescents who attend the "Unidos" center of INAU. In order to obtain the information and reach the previously stated objectives, a qualitative, longitudinal, prospective and descriptive methodology will be used. It will be carried out based on this methodology in order to reveal and analyze the perspective of adolescents on the information they have. This methodology is justified given that in the course of our training as future Obstetrician Midwives, the deficit in terms of knowledge in sexual and reproductive health in the population that today forms part of our objective became notorious. Through this work, we bet that it can generate individual and collective reflections and serve as a trigger for future research and proposals to work with the community. Data collection will be carried out through a survey of mixed questions to 50 adolescents between 12 and 18 years old, women and men who attend the "Unidos" educational center. Said investigation will be carried out in a period of six months corresponding from March 15, 2023 to September 15 of the same year. This period will be taken into account since adolescents will attend this educational center together with a formal educational center, either high school or UTU, so we will seek to identify what knowledge and information they were able to acquire during this time by both institutions. The purpose of data collection is to provide tools with the purpose of strengthening the knowledge acquired. Likewise, delve into the subject, generating a comfortable space in which a two-way dialogue can arise, exchanging information as well as clearing up doubts regarding the topic to be investigated in this work.
