En esta investigación pretendemos conocer la satisfacción de la usuaria y los resultados obstétricos de mujeres embarazadas del Centro Hospitalario Pereira Rossell, a las cuales se les realiza inducción de la maduración del cérvix con sonda vesical. Realizamos un estudio observacional, descriptivo, transversal, retrospectivo. Se estudiaron 425 casos, la principales variables en estudio son: edad, paridad, vía de finalización de la gesta anterior, motivo de indicación de finalización de la gestación, evolución del uso de sonda Foley (según Bishop), método de continuación de inducción y vía de finalización de la gesta actual. Los resultados mostraron la sonda Foley como inductor de la maduración cervical usado aisladamente, alcanza de forma exitosa su objetivo en un 67,5 % de los casos. Las variables edad, raza, antecedentes obstétricos, ginecológicos y edad gestacional, no afectan sus resultados. 7 de cada 10 usuarias, identificaron la utilización del método como una experiencia positiva. Las chances de continuar el trabajo de parto de forma espontánea, es 2.38 veces más elevadas, cuando la maduración del cérvix uterino ser realiza mediante el uso de sonda Foley.
In this investigation we pretend to know the satisfaction and the obstetric results of the pregnant women of the Hospital Center Pereira Rossell, which are done via induction of the cervical maturation with a urinary catheter. To the effects, in the period of internment, we will inquire about their experience in the process of induction. 425 cases were studied, main variables in the study are: age, parity,via ending of previous pregnancy, motive of indication of pregnancy ending, evolution of the use of Foley catheter (according Bishop), induction continuation method and via finalization ending of current pregnancy. The results shown that the Foley catheter as inductor of the cervical maturation used in isolation, reach of a successful way their object in a 67.5% of the cases. The variables age, race, obstetrics background, gynecological and gestational age, doesn't affect the outcomes. 7 Out of 10 users, identified the use of the method as a positive experience. The chances of continuing the labor in a spontaneous way is 2.38 more high than when the maturation of the uterine cervix is realized with the use of the Foley catheter.
