Resumen:
El presente trabajo final de grado, es realizado para optar al título de la Licenciatura en Archivología, dictada por la Facultad de Información y Comunicación de la Universidad de la República. Se expone en el marco teórico, el concepto de Evaluación Documental y la normativa vigente que sustenta dicha función archivística, por medio de la cual se presenta la opción de realizar muestreo archivístico; a su vez, se profundizan y definen los conceptos y tipos de muestreo. Para la investigación se utilizó un enfoque metodológico cualitativo con características de estudio de caso, centrado en el Archivo Central de Montevideo. Se infiere que no existe un tipo de muestreo único y aplicable para todos los Archivos, sino que se reflexiona en las características de la serie documental, como en su unidad productora, para determinar los documentos que serán conservados y el tipo de muestreo que deberá aplicarse.
This final degree project is intended to qualify for a Bachelor's Degree in Archival Studies, offered by the Faculty of Information and Communication at the University of the Republic. It presents a theoretical framework, the concept of Document Evaluation, and the current regulations that support this archivist function. It also presents the option of archival sampling. It also explores and defines the concepts and types of sampling. A qualitative methodological approach with case study characteristics was used for the research, focusing on the Central Archives of Montevideo. It is inferred that there is no single type of sampling applicable to all archives. Instead, the characteristics of the documentary series and its producing unit are considered to determine which documents will be preserved and the type of sampling to be applied.
