The magmatism associated with the sinestral reactivation of the Sarandí del Yí Shear Zone is historically represented by the Solís de Mataojo Granitic Complex in the south of the country. Recent studies indicate that this magmatism also occurs further north, in what was called Casupá Chico Granite. This contribution presents a synthesis of the lithological, structural, microtectonic, geochemical and geochronological characteristics of these two intrusive bodies for comparison and correlation, allowing the characterization of what is known to date of synkinematic magmatism in the Sarandí del Yí Shear Zone in a transpressive orogenic context, such as that of the Dom Feliciano Belt during the post-collision stage of the Brasilian–Pan-African cycle in Uruguay.
