The writing process of Adrián Baraldo’s El día después (The day after) and theatrical practices by a group of inmates at the Rehabilitation Unit No. 6 in Punta de Rieles brought about significant changes in the prison environment and in relationships both within and beyond the Unit. These activities helped participants transform their subjectivity, improving their self-esteem, redefining their identity, and strengthening theirinterpersonal bonds. In this way, these theatrical practices provided a means to address the effects of vulnerability and isolation associated with prison life, contributing to a reconfiguration of their sense of self and their connection to the outside world.
