Este artículo presenta los avances de investigación realizados en el marco del proyecto «La prisión política y el gran encierro como estrategia represiva del Estado Uruguayo (1972-1985)», en el que se profundizó y reflexionó sobre los diversos alcances de la prisión política en tiempos de dictadura.
En este sentido el artículo pretende dar cuenta sobre algunas de las distintas dimensiones que conforman la estrategia represiva abordando en esta oportunidad las siguientes: 1) circunstancias de detención, en el que se presentan aspectos vinculados a la planificación de los operativos, 2) centros de detención/reclusión, en el que se busca desarrollar una tipología de los sitios, destacando sus particularidades y funciones y 3) agencias operativas, donde se despliega el recorrido de organismos que tuvieron un papel clave en el diseño de dicha estrategia.
This article presents the research advances made within the framework of the project "Political prison and the great confinement as a repressive strategy of the Uruguayan State (1972political prison in dictatorship times. In this sense, the article intends to give an account of some of the different dimensions that make up the repressive strategy, addressing on this occasion the following:1) circumstances of detention, in which aspects related to the planning of the operations are presented, 2) centers of detention/reclusion, which seeks to develop a typology of sites, highlighting their particularities and functions, and 3) operational agencies, where the journey of organizations that played a key role in the design of said strategy is displayed.
