Introduction: Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) is one of the most frequent germs that causes sexually transmitted diseases in men and women throughout the world. The infection is the main risk factor for the development of cervical cancer and anogenital infections. In order to reduce the incidence of this disease, three vaccines have been developed. There were initially approved for the female population and later for men. Objective: to know the incidence of anogenital infections caused by HPV after immunization in men; analyzing different aspects of the vaccination program such as sex, age, number of doses and mandatory vaccination. Methodology: a bibliographic search was carried out in PubMed, Timbó and SciELO; the preliminary selection of 72 articles ended up with the election of 11 articles for the inclusion in this review. Conclusion: by including young men in the vaccination programs, a decrease in the incidence of anogenital infections caused by HPV has been observed, especially in populations with low rates of vaccination coverage in women.
