La expansión de la industria pornográfica a lo largo de las últimas décadas ha sido acompañada por una pornificación de la sociedad y mercantilización de los cuerpos de las mujeres, el objetivo de esta investigación es analizar a través de la pornografía mainstream y foro de varones prostituyentes uruguayos qué tipos de representaciones hace el mercado del sexo sobre las mujeres y determinar si esas representaciones producen y reproducen violencia hacia las mujeres como clase sexual. La metodología adoptada fue el análisis de los videos pornográficos mainstream con más visualizaciones dentro de las páginas pornográficas más populares y entradas de varones prostituyentes uruguayos en el foro RelaxUy. Los datos recabados permiten hacer una vinculación directa entre la industria pornográfica, industria prostituyente y violencia hacia las mujeres.
The expansion of the pornographic industry over the last decades has been accompanied by a pornification of society and commodification of women's bodies. The objective of this research is to analyze through mainstream pornography and the Uruguayan male consumers of prostitution forum what types of representations the sex market makes of women and to determine if these representations produce and reproduce violence towards women as a sexual class. The methodology adopted was the analysis of mainstream pornographic videos with more views in the most popular pornographic pages and posts by Uruguayan male prostitutes in the RelaxUy forum. The data collected allow us to make a direct link between the pornographic industry, the prostitution industry and violence against women.
