Resumen:
El Hospital Maciel conserva, entre sus numerosos bienes patrimoniales, una fracción del fondo documental del antiguo Hospital de Caridad y del Hospital Maciel en sus primeros años de funcionamiento bajo ese nombre.
Si bien hay indicios para suponer que este acervo formó parte de un servicio archivístico en épocas pasadas, todo vestigio de su posible organización documental ha desaparecido y se encuentra, actualmente, carente de arreglo archivístico alguno.
Es por lo dicho que esta Monografía Final de Grado se propone identificar, analizar, poner en valor y favorecer la visibilización de este significativo tesoro patrimonial a fin de dejarlo a disposición de la investigación.
The Maciel Hospital preserves, among its numerous patrimonial assets, a fraction of the documentary collection of the former Hospital de Caridad and the Maciel Hospital in its first years of operation under that name. Although there are indications that suggest that this collection was part of an archival service in the past, all traces of its possible documentary organization have disappeared and it is currently lacking any archival arrangement. It is for this reason that this Final Thesis aims to identify, analyze, value and promote the visibility of this significant heritage treasure in order to make it available for research.
