Resumen:
Este artículo de revisión bibliográfica tiene como objetivo identificar las experiencias de los
varones trans en el proceso de gestación. Abordando de manera integral aspectos
importantes que se deberían considerar en una gestación de estas características. Esta
integralidad incluye aspectos psicológicos, biológicos, sociales y legales. Todos estos
emergentes, mantienen a los varones trans en constante negociación entre la experiencia
personal y las expectativas sociales con respecto a la gestación.
La mayoría de los artículos expresan que la gestación y lactancia para muchos varones
trans es conceptualizada como una experiencia masculina a pesar de que la sociedad
atribuya estos procesos como femeninos. Los artículos revisados reportaron experiencias
de discriminación e invisibilidad en este contexto, mostrando que si bien existen leyes
protectoras, la sociedad no está libre de la violencia provocada por el sistema
cisheteronormativo.
This literature review article aims to identify the experiences of trans men in the process of gestation. Comprehensively Addressing important aspects that should be considered in a gestation of these characteristics. This integrality includes psychological, biological, social and legal aspects. All these emerging ones keep trans men in constant negotiation between personal experience and social expectations with respect to pregnancy. Most articles express that pregnancy and breastfeeding for many trans men is conceptualized as a male experience despite the fact that society attributes these processes as feminine. The Articles reviewed reported experiences of discrimination and invisibility in this context, showing that although there are protective laws, society is not free from the violence provoked by cisheteronormative system.
