Resumen:
El presente trabajo final de grado es un estudio de caso sobre el Centro de Documentación Musical Lauro Ayestarán (CDM). Se plantea conocer su funcionamiento actual así como el recorrido histórico que ha tenido para comprender sus particularidades, en tanto se trata de un centro de referencia nacional en cuanto a la gestión de documentación musical con valor patrimonial. Se hace una descripción del CDM en base a una serie de categorías, a saber: generalidades del Centro, tratamiento documental, usuarios, sistema de préstamo, comunicación, conservación y recursos. Para ello se realizan entrevistas a funcionarios y autoridades actuales y anteriores, a la vez que se utiliza una observación en el lugar y se hacen encuestas a algunos usuarios. Luego de la descripción y análisis de los datos, se hace una valoración técnica y se ofrecen aportes personales acerca de cada una de las categorías. Se identifican algunos problemas que tienen que ver básicamente con la falta de presupuesto y con decisiones que se tomaron en el pasado, lo que ha generado que el centro carezca del personal idóneo necesario para su gestión en general y presente problemas en cuanto al tratamiento documental de sus colecciones.
This final degree project is a case study on the Lauro Ayestarán Music Documentation Centre (CDM). It aims to understand its current operation as well as the historical path it has had in order to understand its particularities, as it is a national reference centre in terms of the management of musical documentation with heritage value. A description of the CDM is made based on a series of categories, namely: generalities of the Centre, documentary treatment, users, loan system, communication, conservation and resources. To do this, interviews are conducted with current and former officials and authorities, while an on-site observation is used and surveys are made to some users. After the description and analysis of the data, a technical assessment is made and personal contributions are offered about each of the categories. Some problems are identified that have to do basically with the lack of budget and with decisions that were made in the past, which has caused the centre to lack the appropriate personnel necessary for its general management and to present problems regarding the documentary treatment of its collections
